Distribution that starts from the rooms you actually have left

Stellar HMRI connects to the OTAs through a channel manager account, so availability and rates leave your PMS and reservations come back into it. The numbers that go out are the ones the front desk is working from, not a separate sheet somebody remembers to update.

Availability is what is left, not what exists

Inventory sent to a channel is the rooms of that type minus the ones already sold for that night. Rooms out of order are excluded, cancelled stays are not counted as sold, and the checkout day is not treated as an occupied night. Pushing a raw room count is how a property ends up oversold on a bank holiday.

  • Computed per room type, per date, from your own bookings
  • Out-of-order rooms removed automatically
  • Cancellations release inventory rather than holding it

Mapped before anything is sent

An OTA has no idea what your Deluxe Double is. Each room type and rate plan is paired with the code your channel manager expects, and nothing is pushed until that mapping exists. It is a short setup step that prevents rates landing against the wrong room.

  • Room types and rate plans mapped to provider codes
  • Unmapped room types block the push instead of guessing
  • Every attempt written to a sync log, including the blocked ones

Reservations come back for review

Bookings retrieved from a channel are presented for review rather than written silently into the diary. Deciding which room a reservation takes is an operational judgement, and a feed that creates bookings unattended is how the same room gets sold twice.

  • Incremental retrieval, so modifications are not missed
  • Guest, dates, occupancy and amount normalised on arrival
  • Cancellations and modifications flagged as such

Tested before it touches a live channel

A new connection points at your channel manager's staging environment first. Production is a deliberate switch, made once you have confirmed on a test property that rates arrive at the value you intended.

Frequently asked questions

Which OTAs can I distribute to?
Stellar connects through your channel manager account, so the channels available are the ones your provider supports and you have contracted. We do not hold OTA contracts on your behalf.
Do I need my own channel manager account?
Yes. Certified connectivity to Booking.com, Expedia and Agoda is held by channel managers, and you hold the commercial relationship with the channels. Stellar integrates with that account rather than replacing it.
How do you stop the same room being sold twice?
Availability is recalculated from your live bookings before every push, and inbound reservations are reviewed before they are placed against a room. There is a sync log recording every push and every retrieval.
What happens if the connection fails?
The attempt is recorded as failed in the sync log with the provider's error, and the connection reports an error state. Nothing reports a successful sync that did not happen.
